Invisible Children Blog

Invisible Children is a grass-roots organization started by three young male students. They had heard a little about Child Soldiers in the civil war in Uganda…but there was very little information available for the general public. To educate themselves, they decided to fly to Uganda with a video camera and experience the realities for themselves. What they discovered was atrocious. The Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) of Uganda was almost primarily made up of children abducted from their homes (often times parents brutally killed in front of them) and forced to fight for a cause they don’t understand. Creating a documentary, these three men decided to show the world what was going on in Uganda and demand the United States take political action. Many years later, Invisible Children has expanded into an organization that deals with much more than Uganda and the issues of child soldiers. This blog works to keep people up to date with the injustices to human rights occurring all around the world today.
